The Dust Boot for the Avid 3HP VFD 80mm spindle is a superior dust boot that is engineered to simply perform better. It allows for an adjustable height travel range of 2 inches in addition to being able to position the mounting bracket anywhere along the bottom portion of the spindle. *This model only fits the 3HP VFD 80mm spindle. The boot is sized for a standard 4” vacuum hose. The dust collection has been significantly improved by focusing more of the intake around the cutting bit. The surface area of the intake has been designed to maximize the amount of flow. A computerized flow analysis study was used to design the most optimized shape for the intake to outtake transition to eliminate any restrictions in airflow.
The 5 point magnetic bristle frame attaches securely with an added groove and channel to help eliminate accidental detachment. The bristle ring has been designed to allow for easy replacement if they get worn or damaged by the work piece.
